| Joanna Rowsell. Who spoke and presented herself very well. She came across as a driven, passionate, sensible, intelligent and pragmatic athlete - and fine and fun too boot. Just take a look at her legs... this tells you all you need to know about real performance focused athletes and the rest of us! |

| The registration process - after inundating us with emails - was stunningly smooth. Very impressive indeed. |

| Taking a walk to the Southbank - bikes abound on Saturday for the free ride on closed roads. Such a wonderful, indeed beautiful city, without all the internal combustion engines. A small taste of tomorrow's mega-cities perhaps? |

| So much progress in the three years since my departure - I hope the two are unrelated! Here is the Shard. It's a fine piece of architecture. Oh for it to have been three times the size. |

| Well done London for a truly fantastic weekend structured around the bicycle. Genuine and heartfelt thanks to the legion of volunteers whose good cheer and common-sense made it all possible - the true unsung stars of RIDE London 2013. See you in 2014 - just try and keep me away! |
